Senior Accessibility Consultant and Coach

Ashley is an accessibility consultant/coach and trainer with a strong background in UX design and front-end development. She has over 5 years of dedicated work in the accessibility field and over 10 years of experience working in the digital realm. Ashley holds a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification from the IAAP and has a Master’s degree in Understanding and Securing Human Rights from the University of London. She believes that accessibility and user experience are intertwined, and she strives to bridge the gap between the two by providing comprehensive accessibility training and guidance to her clients, ensuring that their digital products are both usable and accessible for everyone.

Corporate Accessibility Trainer

With a PhD in Education and Disability Studies, Sharon brings unique experience to her role as accessibility consultant at Deque. She taught K-12 special education for more than 10 years and conducted research on the viability of virtual schooling for students with disabilities. Her passion for making the world accessible for everyone has driven her in-depth knowledge of the ADA, IDEIA and Universal Design for Learning. She’s also an adjunct professor at the University of Nevada, Reno. Clearly, training is in her blood, and she brings this inner fire to Deque. Sharon has her CPACC and is working on her ADS Certification. She loves travel, yoga and, (of course), her family. Her current project is convincing her teenager to join her in pottery and yoga classes. This may be her most challenging venture yet.
