Basic Accessibility Fundamentals Bootcamp

In celebration of this year's Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), Deque offered free training of its basic accessibility fundamentals bootcamp.

This training provides an overview of basic accessibility concepts, such as why digital inclusion matters and how people with disabilities use the Web. Through this training, participants will develop a better understanding of how disabilities affect a person’s experience online, as well as a high-level introduction to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG).

The training will also introduce ways through which the many responsibilities pertinent to Web accessibility can be distributed by roles, so each member of your team understands the role they should play when it comes to successfully integrating accessibility in the project development lifecycle.

This training is intended for all audiences, including policymakers and other “non-web” attendees (a.k.a. Management).

  • Accessibility considerations & inclusive design
  • Why accessibility matters
  • How people with disabilities use the web
  • Assistive Technologies and context of use
  • Statistics, laws, and more!
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, v2.1
  • Role-based accessibility and shift-left approach

Please Note: This training will not be hosted on-demand, only the registrants of this webinar will receive the recording of this webinar.
